This is a view of some typical old buildings which still exist in the heart of KL city. What amazes me is the number of windows in these buildings. Probably these windows functioned as natural aircon during the earlier days. :-)

I love the color. were it not for those cars, I would say this is a scene from those old films.

@Marica: Thanks Marcia, appreciate your time and kind words pal. :)
Very good. Like the colour and the frame. I could easily see this hanging in a coffee house or somewhere similar.

@Nick Passantino: Thanks Nick, am really glad you liked it. :)
These old buildings really have character, and the composition, including the street corner, enhances this. Good alignment of verticals and nice tones.

Good pictures! They keep coming don't they. Hey Rahul, you'll be at the national Fireworks competition at Putrajaya on the 18th which is a few days away? Ming (mingimg.aminus3.com) and me might be going too. Can't wait!

@Josh: Thanks Josh, i will be going with some kaki's to the fireworks, ain't sure if it would be on 18'th or on 31'st, or probably a few trips. ;-) Lets sync up then. Will sure be there as i have never shot fireworks before.
Very very lovely shot and processing, Rahul! I really like this one. Reminds me of something out of an old photo album, full of rich character and memories. Wonderful work.

@Rebecca: Thanks Rebecca, to tell you the truth, i was kinda disappointed after this photoshoot as the sky was bad, and the pics were very normal. But after a little PS on it everything started looking way more interesting to me. I am sure going there again for another round and this time it would be PS presets fixed in my eyes before the shoot. LOL!!!!
SUPER COLORING...
15 Aug 2007 1:11pm
@alex: Thanks Alex. Its back and white with a very gentle pink filter and a little induced softness. :)
Nice work. Rahul. I love the composition and the post processing here.

@Julia: Thanks Julia, great to see your footsteps back. Cheers!!!!
Rahul, if the lights are bad you can try bumping off the ISO to 800 or 1600. You might have to compensate with the noise, but the overall results vary according to the exposure and shutter speed again. You will not need to use PS if you try using different exposure settings :)
15 Aug 2007 2:44pm
@Babul Bhatt: Thanks Babul, there was PS touch to this to lift up the exposure as the day was really gloomy. :)
It's a nicely done shot, IMO. Bravo!

Well composed urban scene with the B&W rendering adding an extra atmosphere of locality.

I love the pink/lilac tone of this one Rahul, it works beautifully with the old buildings. It gives it a nostalgic feel. Another wonderful piece of work :)
