KL Tower View From Old TownPosted by Rahul (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) on 11 August 2007 in Architecture. This is the view of KL tower from the old town. The only processing here was straightning of the building on right which was way more inclined in the original shot due to angle and distance it was shot from. Then converted to black and white and as usual gave it a little of my unusual cuckoo processing touch. LOL!!!! The sky here is original sky, this is how terrible it was on that day, and i had to change it in my earlier shots. :-) Hope you guys will like it, have a great weekend friends. Cheers!!!!!

Babul Bhatt from Bombay, IndiaRahul Rahul, I am back...hope you have not been too naughty when I was away. I like the way the lightpole is towering over the minaret. Gives a comical look/feel. I have started posting some pics on my blog from today...stay tuned in :) 11 Aug 2007 7:32am @Babul Bhatt: Thanks bro and great to see you back. I had been good as always, but looks like you had all the fun in London. LOL!!! Soph from Enghien, Belgiumwonderful shot, I really like the composition! As for the processing, I am amazed, mostly because I am not there yet, I take my pics as they come, except of a little cropping. Maybe some day I'll try to experiment like you pros. 12 Aug 2007 12:51pm @Wolfgang Prigge: Thanks pal, and you will be there soon. Photoshop is fun, just get started and you will be addicted. ;-) Behrooz from Tehran, IranHow's everything!? It's a shame. It's a long time since I had a decent AM3 surfing and commenting. Anne from White Rock, CanadaHi Rahul - sorry haven't been able to get far around am3 for a while - but appreciate your visits during that time. This is a really nice composition of the tower, lamp and buildings. Like it a lot! ;-) 13 Aug 2007 8:56am @Anne: You are most welcome and thanks to you pal for lovely encouragement and kind words. :) Sometimes life just catches up and everyone of us has to give up our beloved AM3 at times, i was missing too over the weekend. ;-) @priya: Thanks Priya. Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesThe composition is excellent. Interesting treatment. 13 Aug 2007 12:57pm @Laurie: Thanks Laurie, i thought it was a real unconventional and weird treatment, but guess it worked. :) @Nadine: Thanks pal. @Navdeep: Thanks Navdeep. Rebel Streetshooter from Big Apple, United StatesCuckoo? You mean that magic touch. Don't you? 13 Aug 2007 9:28pm @Rebel Streetshooter: Haha... thanks a lot bro, you made my day, though i really thought it was kinda odd processing. :) MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomOh! Rahul, I don't know how I missed this one! sorry pal :) I love the way you've framed the tower with the light post, it looks like it is protecting it. The tower looks elegant next to the larger imposing building on the right, and I love the colour, it shows the reflection in the windows perfectly :) another great job! 14 Aug 2007 10:18am @MaryB: Thanks Mary, you did not miss it. :) I know my buddy is always around. :) Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaA very dynamic looking composition, conveying a feeling of soaring upwards with those strong verticals. 14 Aug 2007 10:10pm @Andrew Gould: Thanks Andrew, you always read my interpretation which i always fail to put in words. :) Really appreciate your kind words, guess you describe them way better than me. :) wendy from United StatesVery nice gradient and color! SO many new styles now huh, my friend =) 15 Aug 2007 5:10pm @wendy: Haha... you bet pal, and sure u know the reason. ;-) Ok ssshhh..... @Laurie: Thanks Laurie. :) Our little hood from bruges, Belgiumwell rahul... best of the series so far! and that maybe explains the many comments on this one :-) 16 Aug 2007 5:31pm @Our little hood: Thanks Robin, appreicate your kind words and would you elaborate WTF is wrong with the frame in the last pic ? ;-) Cant get it, is it because the image is partially cut on top in the last picture ? I do have vertical of that image, but didnt have the right sky to replace the background, so posted this defective one. LOL!!!! Our little hood from bruges, Belgiumhaahaa, I'm not talking about the framing of the image, but the frame itself. All those freaking blue bubbles. WTF?? :D 16 Aug 2007 11:36pm |
