Masjid Jamek LRT StationPosted by Rahul (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) on 9 August 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. This is a view of Masjid Jamek LRT station from central market, with OCBC Bank and Muamalat Bank buildings in the background. The washed out skies have been replaced here with another sky shot which i took from my balcony. Cheers!!!!!

It looked more dramatic in B&W. :) MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWhat a wonderful mix of architecture. 9 Aug 2007 8:38am @MaryB: Thanks Mary, just wanted to try the postcard look on this. ;-) I like this image very much too as i did sweat a little photoshoping it, specially the sky. @Soph: Thanks Sophie, lucky i had shot some skies from my balcony and this particular one suited best for this image. :) Catalin from Bucharest, RomaniaI like this one very much. it's the perfect combination. well done my friend 9 Aug 2007 8:40am @Catalin: Thanks Pal, i like this one a lot too. :) Shutterbug from Chennai, IndiaI remember this scene. Just that i remember it in colour! :) I remember it also, because a little girl who got on the train with her mother, pointed to me and asked her mum if I was from India! :) 9 Aug 2007 9:52am @Shutterbug: Masjid Jamek is the interchange of the two LRT systems in the city, so if you were touring KL then i can be sure you were there. :) Thanks pal. @Shahab: Thanks Shahab, really appreciate your encouraging comments. :) Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesOnce again, incredible pp work on this already superior image. Have a great weekend pal. :) Celialee from Kyoto, JapanNice one! Love Masjid Jamek even though it is always crowded or flooded! 12 Aug 2007 8:30am @Celialee: Thanks pal, its great to see you back. :) petra from Netherlandsvery beautiful picture but I guess I would have straightened it up!! 14 Aug 2007 9:02am @petra: Thanks Petra, i wanted to straighten it too, but was kinda lazy lol!!!! And straightning would be required at both ends and it would end in loss of actual perspective in this picture. So i left it as it is. :) Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaRather a dark and brooding interpretation of the scene. Well done. 14 Aug 2007 10:31pm @Andrew Gould: Thanks Andrew for your sincere view, you read my mind, those were my exact thoughts which made me decide to leave it as it is. Infact somehow in this pic that little inclination looked interesting to me. :) |
