@Shutterbug: Nope, its a triptych borders, which is like empty frames pre-designed and saved as JPEG file. Then you open these individual files (birds in this case) and paste them over those frames in that jpeg file. Once done copying all the files so that they cover the individual frames in the background jpeg, merge all the layers containing the individual pics of birds in this case, into one layer. Make a copy of background layer and move it over the merged picture layer. Change the blending mode to screen and you will see this effect. Try it bro, its fun. :) Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaHmmm I need to try this, maybe it will be my next experiment! Great work you did here! 31 Jul 2007 5:42am @Stunner: This is cool stuff stunner, and really simple. Give it a go and you will love it. The painful part is designing those frame jpegs with different brushes. But once you have done that, it can be reused any number of times. ;) ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, NetherlandsVery nice work on the composition and the framing good idea, great work buddy ! 31 Jul 2007 7:10am @ColNed Pictures: Thanks pal. :) It was same bird and i was just too lazy to decide which one to post, so kinda put them all together. ;-) Sriram from Chennai, IndiaNice effort, Rahul! Brilliant framing and technically perfect as usual! 31 Jul 2007 7:11am @Sriram: Thanks Sriram for you encouragement and wonderful comments. @Craiger: Thanks Bro. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWhat a great idea! and you picked a fine bird to be your........errr......victim! 31 Jul 2007 10:14am @MaryB: It was indeed a cool bird Mary, and the feathers were so soft and silky. Thats why i overexposed it a bit to give it extra softness hehehe... :) In actual size it looks cool though with a little overexposure. :) Anthony from Singapore, SingaporeNice framing... one thing...is the fotos a bit overexposed?? 31 Jul 2007 3:15pm @Anthony: Yes it is pal. :) You got that right. @priya: Thanks Priya, i have explained it above in my first reply to Shutterbug. Check it out. :) @Laurie: Thanks Laurie. :) Havent seen a new post from you lately pal. Rebecca from Leicester, United Kingdomwow, this is excellent work, and the bird is so beautiful. it will be quite sometime before i get to this level of skill, i think! 31 Jul 2007 5:04pm @Rebecca: Thanks Rebecca, well i was new like you four months back. :) So, dont worry. It wont take so long. Would just want to share a little secret here with you, when comes to photography, always follow your heart. Read the rules, but feel free to break them at times. See the beauty around you and capture it the way you see it beautiful. Thats the trick i worked on, even most of my processing is way out from the general rules, but like i said i find it good so i just do it. :) And am glad it has just worked. So, cheer up and take your camera and get out there and start clicking. :) And AM3 is great community of wonderful photographers, you learn something new here everyday. :) Amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaA really FABulous job here Rahul!! Love the frames, too. Must sit down and give this a try. The images of the birds are so great... you really got some great captures!! 31 Jul 2007 5:40pm @Amy: Thanks Amy. :) Johnny Soedomo from United Statesnice shot, i would make the top right photo the same width as the bottom right photo :) just because i like balance and filling the space. thanks for the comment as well :) 31 Jul 2007 7:02pm @Johnny Soedomo: Thanks Johnny, i did that earlier and it was more looking like a "norm", so i changed it a bit and it looked better when i printed it and put it behind the frame to see the results. Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesNeat effect, but I have a tech question. You save this border as a jpeg file, but where does the border come from to start with? What software are you using to make it in the first place? 31 Jul 2007 7:55pm @Viewfinder: Thanks bro, and about the border jpegs, you have to create your own using the brushes in photoshop, or you can email me and i shall attach some along for you to use straight away, as i have already created some. :) That would save you the extra work. :) Nick Passantino from Bronx, United Statesgreat trio.. the framing of each shot is awesome 31 Jul 2007 8:07pm @Nick Passantino: Thanks Nick, really appreciate the encouragement. :) tengtan from Melbourne, AustraliaCreative application of the format - certainly extends presentation. 31 Jul 2007 9:59pm @tengtan: Thanks pal. :) I am just experimenting with photoshop on all aspects. :) Dylan from Delhi, United StatesVery cool looking birds. I like the combination of white and orange...they look like creamsicles. 31 Jul 2007 10:51pm @Dylan: Thanks Dylan, i am glad you liked it. Its a sweet creature. :) Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesNicely done, I haven't tried that yet. 1 Aug 2007 12:14am @Dawn Sutherland: Thanks Dawn, triptych is fun with similar images, specially if you plan to frame it. Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesLove it Love it Love it...love the rough edge of the images too...BRAVO Dude! 1 Aug 2007 1:21am @Jen: Thanks Jen, thanks for wonderful comments and encouragement.
