Fashion And Models 6Posted by Rahul (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) on 26 June 2007 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. What i like about this picture is the expressions on the model's face. Its like "Angels Do Blush". ;-) The metering was on her neck and was spot on, until i could even see her braces. ;-) Did use a flash in this shot to lift up her face as the colors around were real strong and would have over shadowed the face.

Love her expression too. 26 Jun 2007 6:22am @Dave: Thanks Dave, such words from master like you are a great inspiration. :-) @Melina: Thanke Melina. :) kairospix from Singapore, Singaporeyeah agree with Celia 26 Jun 2007 6:51am @kairospix: Thanks Bro, after this show i did get the invitation from ELLE to shoot for them full time. Wendy from Hayward, United StatesLooks like you realy master your D40 camera Rahul! You know, shooting fashion is not easy but you did it very well. The flash is not too flashy because I can still feel the softness of her smile. I never do fashion shots, maybe I'll try it one of these days =) 26 Jun 2007 6:59pm @Wendy: Thanks Wendy, yes have exploited most of D40 in the last 3 months, and now deciding to move on to D80. I am quite new to digital world and thats the reason why i started with the most basic. All the pics are taken using kit lens or AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm basic zoom. Had been a film user earlier. Now kinda in love with Digital, and D40 kinda rocks for the price you pay. ;-) Am soon getting the D80 and some F2.8 lenses. The whole idea so far was to get a feel of it before investing $$$. LOL!!!! You should try the fashion shooting pal, its fun because its really challenging, specially the vivid colors and lightings that put you to real test on the exposure front. ;-) Henri Rabagny from Paris, FranceExcellent portrait catched at the right moment. Good use of the flash. 26 Jun 2007 9:32pm @Henri Rabagny: Thanks Henri. :-) Madhavi from Worcester, United StatesYou've done a great job with these fashion series. Is this your first time shooting on the runway? 27 Jun 2007 3:02am @Madhavi: Thanks Madhavi, this was the second Fashion shoot, the earlier was a nightmare... haha. In the first shoot i just came back with few OK shots and lots of learning. And in this second shoot i was more confident and knew my settings a bit better. Now i love shooting on the runway, its a good practice ground for everything including panning, lightings, exposure, white balance, ISO, metering and composition. Its fun!!! Shrig from New Jersey, United StatesSuch a nice expression. A great example of shy, perhaps? Nice capture. 28 Jun 2007 12:44am ling from KL, MalaysiaI like this shot very very much. I love the colours. Amazing. 28 Jun 2007 7:06am |
