The City Of Lights

This is also another overexposed landscape shot of the city, here the clouds are more evident than the previous one.

I like this shot in particular because when you see it in full resolution it just shows every minute details of each building there and every glowing bulb (which even naked eyes could not see). This was acheived with F8, though i was planning on F11 or 16, but didn't want to raise the ISO. However, the towers have just turned into fluroscent light poles. ;-)

My whole idea here was to probably bring out every lightbulb in the city. LOL!!!

I think I like the previous one more, not too keen having the large building in the middle but it's quite nicely exposed.
If you know an exposure is 20 seconds at F8 then that would make it 40 seconds at f16, just set it to bulb in manual and time it on your watch.

i just love the photos with big exposure. you did well not to raise the ISO, the photo is clean and with great detail. great job man. keep it up!

@Catalin: Thanks Pal, am glad you liked it. :) Raising ISO would have not given me the same effects, and i prefer the lowest possible ISO at all times, though at times i am generous with it, when shooting candids as you need real fast shutter there to capture the motion. ;-)

NICE! Have you ever tried taking a picture of the twin towers after a rainy day? When the mist circles the towers? Gorgeous effect!

@celialee: Thanks Pal, never had the chance to be near KLCC during such weather, and if i was then i was just left with my phone camera. I know its gorgeous, nvm when u are here we plan that on a rainy day, we can take turns to hold the umbrella. ;-)

@amy: Thanks Amy, the clouds were really dramatic that night, the space ship never came but someone up there pee'd a lot that night. It was heavy rains. ;-)

@Laurie: Thanks Laurie, i was amazed too, in full version you sure can walk into it. Thats why i chose the F8 and had a cup of tea until the shutter fired. :-) It just worked.
